Ugh. Two days at home with some kind of stomach bug. Appetite gone, nausea, fever, aches, the lot. I've lost 4 pounds, but I know it will go right back on again next week, so what's the good in that? At least Netflix could have brought me something good, but no -- instead of The Accidental Tourist, I opened that cheerful red envelope to find a disc of special features from season one of the Mary Tyler Moore show. Now, I'm actually a fan. But when a person is already sick to his stomach, it's not really the best thing, now is it? And there was nothing very special about the special features anyhow.
Goals for the day: sleep lots, drink even more, eat a bowl of soup, and determine just how much Vicar of Dibley is too much.

The face lift
OK, that's the web site unwrapping its bandages to reveal a new look, not me. Considering that the old pages sat there for over a year, lonely and untouched as a spinster without a social life or a credit card, I figured the time had come for a new do. I've been practicing my CSS skills of late on one of my other sites, so I decided to apply some of my new trickery on my own pages.
Easier to update, easier to post to, just as easy to let lapse and languish.
There's still a lot to add, yet, over time. Photo albums, more family stuff, recipes for strudel...the works. I'm also planning to add a page highlighting some of the other sites I've designed in the past couple of years. That's actually been my excuse for abandoning these pages for so long -- infidelity, plain and simple.
